Author's Notes:

This is my second iCarly fic and I have to say, I'm starting to like writing it. It's really easy for me because it's random stuff that pops into my head that I can just write down and put 'Carly' and 'Sam' in the appropriate slots. It's kind of, sort of, well really almost terrible since I put no effort into it at all but I wrote it so I want to post it.

Disc: If I owned iCarly than there would be more than subtext to it. I swear.

"Hey, Sam?" Carly said. It was late at night in the Shay apartment and Sam was, once again, sleeping over at her house, in her bed. "Are you awake?"

"What?" Sam grumbled. The blonde girl was sleepy and tired and all she wanted to do was curl up in a ball and lay next to Carly for the rest of eternity. Carly was making that dream hard to do with all her talking.

"You want to get married?" Carly asked.

Sam gave an indignant huff, sat up and looked at her. "Get married? I thought we got passed that stage where you want to ask me random questions?"

Her girlfriend shrugged. "I can't get to sleep so I thought we could play a game."

Sam growled, "Game my ass. I'll show you a game."

The blonde rolled on top of her girlfriend and pinned her to the mattress as she kissed her intently, the taste of mint on her breath, trying to show her exactly what she meant by game. She pulled away, tugging at Carly's lip, and finally said, with a small pant that did nothing to lessen her exhaustion, "I'm a Puckett; we don't get married."

Carly gave her a look and she rephrased her answer; "To who?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. To anybody."

Sam sighed and leaned against the headboard. "Give me a list. I work better with a few options."

The darker girl pondered that for a bit before she said, "Since I know you'd kill me if I said Freddie-"

"I'd gouge out parts of you with a dull, frozen spoon," Sam hissed.

"-I'm going to say, me or Rip-Off Rodney."

The blonde immediately said, "You."

"Why? It'd be a lot easier to live with somebody that feared you, wouldn't it?"

Sam scoffed, which melted into a yawn, "And about a thousand times lonelier. You can't even talk without the fear getting in the way, so what's the point? Besides I stay here all the time and I'm used to you. I don't want to have to train somebody all over again."

Carly conceded after pointing out, "I am not a dog!" to Sam's light smirk. "Alright, I can understand that. What about Jake Crandall, or that new boy, Tyson Garrison."

Sam shook her head. "I want other choices."

"Those are two guys that don't fear you, though," Carly pointed out.

Her bed-fellow rolled her eyes in a sleepy motion and rubbed them gently. "Their boring and predictable. Tyson and I have French class together and he never does anything different. And didn't you break up with Jake because of that?"

Carly nodded again. "Yeah, I guess."

Sam gave a sigh of relief. "Good. Now let's go to sleep."

"One more," Carly pouted. When she saw Sam about to glare she turned up the full volume of her pout and watched Sam crumble.

"Fine."

"Where would you take me so that we could get married?"

Sam's eyes dipped lower as she muttered, "California. You love the beach and the sunsets."

Carly grinned, "Glad to see you've thought so much about it."

The blonde simply mumbled something as she snuggled into Carly's side and her eyes drifted shut.

"Silly little blonde," Carly mumbled into Sam's hair as she breathed in her scent before her eyes closed until the sun rose. "I want to get married wherever you want to get married. Besides, Canada has such better pork products."

End file.
